This cutter is CNC-machined from M2AL high speed steel (HSS) for durability and wear resistance, and it uses a 3/4-inch Weldon shank (two flats) for secure clamping. The edge finish is intended to produce smooth, reamed, burr-free drilled holes when used with firm, steady pressure throughout the cut.
Usage notes: This series is intended for drilling single layers of material only. To help prevent premature failureāespecially with smaller cuttersāuse a low feed rate as you start the cut, then increase once the bit is about 2ā3 mm in. Secure the workpiece firmly; if itās less than 1/2-inch thick, the manufacturer recommends placing a 3/8-inch steel sheet underneath to improve magnetic drill grip. If you plan to use it on a drill press, youāll need an additional annular cutter arbor (not included).
