Unlike many compact indoor cams, Mini 2 adds a built-in spotlight for color night view, plus a wider field of view (143° diagonal) to help cover more of a room. It can also pull double duty as a plug-in chime for the Blink Video Doorbell (sold separately), providing an audible alert when someone presses the doorbell.
For storage, you can use a free 30-day trial of a Blink Subscription Plan for cloud clip storage. After the trial, cloud storage requires a subscription, or you can back up locally with a Sync Module 2 + USB drive or Sync Module XR + microSD card (all sold separately). Optional subscription features can also add smart notifications like person detection using embedded computer vision (CV).
