To help you start holes more accurately, this bit uses a 135° pilot point tip to reduce walking. A tapered web helix adds stability in tougher applications, while the large spiral flute is designed to clear chips efficiently for faster drilling.
Because 5/8″ is a large diameter, Meccion recommends pre-drilling a smaller pilot hole for best results. Like all drill bits, it’s a consumable—if it dulls with use, it can be sharpened for continued use.
