Unlike sliders where magnets are exposed, this one uses an enclosed design that conceals magnets inside the “leaves,” reducing the chance of magnets jumping off. During use, you may notice a distinctive rustling sound from the magnets inside—however, extra tools are included so you can silence the slider in about 5 minutes by following the instructions, making it easier to use in quieter environments.
Made via CNC machining from genuine carbon fiber and hand-polished, the DFS-28 aims to deliver a premium, “silky” slide (with Teflon stickers pre-applied) plus strong haptic feedback. It also uses a magnet layout intended to balance smoothness and stability, with N52 magnets in the corners and N35 magnets in the middle.
